Name: Goal Setting Basics

Brief personal introduction:

My name is Kylee Richter and this will be my 8th year of teaching. I taught a few years of Kindergarten but last year I was moved into Title 1. I support 3rd-5th grade in Reading. I will be teaching two sections of Read 180 and two sections of System 44 this next year.

Overview of content/topic level of unit plan:

Title 1- grades 3-5
Goal Setting Basics
Students will learn about the importance of goal setting. We will learn about goals, the steps you take to get there and why it is important for us to set goals for ourselves. Students will see an inspirational video on people who have faced challenges and how they still managed to achieve their goal. They will be completing a visual ranking tool activity and a wordle. They will also being doing a hands on activity to stress the importance of setting up steps to get you to your goal. The desired outcome for this unit is for the kids to understand how to set a goal, why it’s important and to achieve the goals they create for themselves.

How do I add an Image or File to My Page?

Select Edit tab then Click the File icon.
Use the "Upload Files" button or "External Image" tab to select the image or file you wish to put on your page.
Put the cursor at the position on the page where you wish to put the image or file.
Click the image or file to put it on the page.
